A collection of 20 eclectic songs on a CD designed to be used as babies music - Lullabies & Lagniappe for Little Beaus and Belles delivers a sweet solution to a very real and stressful problem. This CD was created to aid in lulling babies of all ages to sleep. This solution (sleep) actually follows a scientific process we can loosely label sleep training. The CD begins with an appealing tune that grabs babies’ interest and gradually changes into calming melodies that lull them to sleep. You do not need to try drastic gut-wrenching sleep training methods when you can have this gentle and often underutilized technique using music to create lullabies for sleep. These lullabies can eventually take babies to Dreamland. Mission accomplished!
Dedicated to Grandchildren
The joint efforts of Kay Fabian and Carolyn Conner produced this touching compilation, which they dedicated to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It is a unique and treasured gift for them which will carry on their love for children and music throughout the generations. The recording was made in a studio with Kay Fabian singing and her mother playing the piano to accompany her. Kay noted that it not only soothed her grandchildren to sleep, but she realized it was also putting “Grumpa” to sleep as well!
Rather than focusing on technical voice perfection, this music emphasizes the emotional connection, which is Kay Conner Fabian’s labor of love. It may appeal to more than babies, as there are classic oldies combined with other much loved songs on the CD. The production was made possible with the help of Jonathan Treeby from JT Studios, who served as the Producer and Engineer, and Laura Beasley, the Vocal Director/Co-Producer.
The songs on Lullabies & Lagniappe have a relaxed, enduring feel and movement. Kay Conner Fabian aimed to produce a compilation of various tracks that were skillfully arranged into the lullaby music genre. These songs have special meaning for her because she either sang them to her own children, or they were cherished favorites heard around her home as she was growing up. She hopes That the listeners would feel the same way about them. The fact that Kay Conner Fabian’s mother who was 87 years old at the time, plays the piano with her adds to the album’s sentimental worth, making it a priceless treasure to be shared within the family and beyond for its enjoyment and nostalgia.
